Guest Speaker: Supervisory Special Agent Jami (Jimmy) Hassani with the FBI.

Jimmy Hassani entered duty as an FBI Special Agent in 2004 investigating Cyber Terrorism. He worked his way up the ranks to his current position as Supervisory Special Agent in 2020 located at the Sacramento Field Office. He focused on leading a team against, among other violations, the cyber-enabled fraud that spiked during the pandemic.

SSA  Jimmy currently leads the squad responsible for Cyber-Enabled Complex Financial and Healthcare Fraud investigations at the FBI Field Office.

Some take aways of this talk include that when a suspicious email arrives: don't click on the link, it could be a fraud link. Check with your accounts and do not click on the link. If you think you have a fraud situation contact: IC3.gov and don't panic.

An example of Fraud that is active now: Fake Amazon accounts.
