 Dr. Michael Merer, MD 
The Guest Speaker this week is Dr. Merer. He will be sharing information on the service supplied by Kaiser Permanente and the Local Health in the community.
 
 
 Meeting Welcome
Kerry welcomed 44 members and 10 guests to the meeting. Guests included Guest Speaker Anthony Mejia, and Lacey Mejia, LHS Students of the Month: Makenna Spencer, and Emery Hern, Counselor Misty Alaron, and their families- Ashley Sandor, Tiffany Mendez, Allison Hern, Paul and Arelene McAlloch,  Darlene Rowe, Ana Lauritsen (Claire), and Heather Osterhout (Clark). The flag salute was led by Richard Pearl and the Four Way Test was led by Dianne Fix.
Induction and Welcome of New Member
Clark had the honor of inducting Dick Gootee, a 47 year transferring Rotarian, sponsored by Richard Pearl. Expectations of Rotary were reviewed, and the new member was welcomed with a standing ovation.
Paul Harris Recognition
Rotarian Scott Cadwallader presented Carol Abbanat with the pin representing PH + 5 (sapphires) earned when her donations to RI reached 6,000 with her donations and some gift rewards for service. Scott discussed the requirements of Paul Harris recognition and congratulated Carol on her generosity. The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty. Congratulations were expressed with a standing ovation.

Josh Graves standing in for Lindsey, reported on the Tree Lighting attended by approximately 20 thousand people, 14 kids rode in the Rotary Train, and several Interacts and Rotarians participated in the events on December 4 & 6. (Please ignore the Read More.)

Guest Speaker 12-11-25
Lincoln Fire Chief Anthony Mejia has spent 24 years serving in fire departments, rising to Chief on  August 12, 2025. He covered in detail his department goals: 1. To transition to Advanced Life Support because the Fire Department is first to answer emergencies, 2.Enhance and expand firefighter training and capabilities, 3. Strengthen Fire Marshall role and prevention programs, 4. Embracing technology in Dispatch, Response, Alerting Awareness, 5. Increase community outreach and partnerships.
