May Rotarian Spotlight - Caron Russell

This month we're featuring our fearless leader, Caron!
Fun facts about Caron:
  • She loves a day at the beach!
  • She loves to work in the yard.
  • For fun she likes to break/cut tile and make mosaics (mostly outdoor).
  • She wishes she could play the piano.
  • She likes peanut butter on anything.
  • She doesn't cook.....EVER. =)

An adventurous thing she's done: Years ago, she and her sister strapped on backpacks, bought a Eurail pass and hung out in Europe for the summer.

Caron was born and raised in Auburn, and she graduated from Placer High. She met her husband Jim when she was at Cal Poly. They were married in 1991 and have two kids: Sam is at Humboldt, Izzy is at Oregon State.

What do you like best about Rotary?  "I love the heart of the members. I love that we say “yes” and do good work. I love that they (Rotarians) are kind and they make me happy!"
