It's all about Denim
Currently, the Twelve Bridges Interact Club is collecting blue jeans for Cotton’s Blue Jeans project, turning jeans into insulation Authentic denim is made mostly from cotton, a sustainable fiber. We recycle denim (made from cotton) to do good for the earth. We encourage you to rethink what your clothing is made of, refresh your wardrobe, and recognize that we all can be doing more to lessen our impact on textile waste. Thanks to the renewability and circularity of cotton, we can reimagine the possibilities of what our old denim can become.
If you have any blue jeans hanging around or people you know that wear them...the Interact Club, would love to take those off your hands. We are starting up a BLUE JEAN drive to ship them off to be made into insulation material. Please feel free to bring them to a club meeting so that we can arrange a pick-up.
