Sharron's Induction and Kimberly's Blue Badge

We had loads of guests in honor of our new membership activities, with most being here in honor of Sharron Snyder. Her sponsor Clark led her induction, accompanied by her husband Steve, a Rotary International Director, and long-time Rotarian.  Glenn Fong, District Governor Elect presented flowers on behalf of DG Fred Teichert.  Steve and Sharron live in Lincoln and run, along with their son and daughter, the Chevy/Subaru dealership in Auburn.  Welcome aboard Sharron.

Clark Osterhout led the Induction ceremony to make Sharron Snyder a member of Lincoln Rotary.  Her husband pinned her and she was greeted with a grand round of applause.

Kim Fricke gave her 3 minute presentation to the Club to finalize her Blue Badge requirements.  Her speech and photos described her work, family and volunteer life.  She has run Sober Grad night for many years.  She was acknowledged for jumping into Rotary and taking over the job as Treasurer in her first days as a member.  Her speech was warmly received.

Kathy Clemons gave tribute to our six members of the Paul Harris Society who are Rotary Charter members of PHS as they joined in the first year RI had this designation.  Lincoln is proud to have all six as members:  Art Deardorff, Jim Zentner, Ed Page, Elizabeth Jansen, Pete Walker and Clark Osterhout.  Congratulations to them.  Kathy can sign anyone up at any time, all it takes is a commitment to donate $1,000 to the RI Foundation each year.

Art made a sad announcement that Wild Bill Cook, our Secretary for 8 years has requested a one year Leave of Absence.  We will miss Wild Bill and his hard work.
