Club Assembly March 7, 2024
President-elect nominee, Kerry Callahan, led the Club Assembly: "The Magic of Rotary." The Strategic Planning Committee, for the Bob Dart Gift, is studying the options for how to best meet the wishes of Mr. Dart and how this club can serve the community with his gift. Jerry Johnson began with a brief history of Bob Dart including that he had been Postmaster in Lincoln, served in WW11, and a Lincoln Rotary member for almost 50 years. On his death in 2019, he gave the club several properties. During his lifetime he never married and was the only son of his parents. H invested in real estate both in Lincoln and Marysville. He also gifted more than $100,000 to many charities, medical facilities, and community organizations on his death. The Strategic Planning Committee devoted the Club Assembly to asking members to share their thoughts of what they would like to see the club consider for the legacy gift. Kerry explained that members would consider 5 areas of potential considerations: Youth, Seniors, Public Safety, Economic Development and "Other", a catchall for anything that did not fall in the other 4 categories. This was done in a well-organized system with members in small groups, with 5 leaders who rotated so that every member had the opportunity to provide input in the 5 categories. The organization of this Club Assembly and the preparation was extremely well thought out. In spit of that it was fun! Kudos to the entire committee, Kim, Joann, Greg, Kris and Paul, and Kerry for her leadership. The next Club Assembly on 3/21 will be spent in prioritizing the 5 areas of consideration.
The Four-Way Test
           The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do:
   1. Is it the truth?
   2. Is it fair to all concerned?
   3. Will it build goodwill and
         better friendships?
   4. Will it be beneficial
        to all concerned?

   5. HAVE FUN !!
